    18 May 2010

The world's oldest bottled single malt whisky is on the shelf for £10,000. The 70 year old Scotch has been in a cask since before World War II, and is being sold by Elgin based specialist Gordon and MacPhail - located in the city and Royal Burgh of Elgin, Scotland.

The tipple, Mortlach, is described as a 'delicate, fresh, vital and fruity whisky'.

There are just 54 bottles available with each one costing £10,000.
